Thrissur: Devaswom minister K Radhakrishnan has announced that Thrissur Pooram will be held in its all grandeur this year. There will be no COVID restrictions for the festival. With this, the minister urged the public to take necessary precautions like wearing a mask and using hand sanitiser while attending the festival.
The minister was addressing the media here on Sunday after attending an all-party meeting. Revenue minister K Rajan, minister R Bindhi, other public representatives and Devaswom members also attended the meeting.
The minister promised the Devaswom committee members that necessary action will be taken to resolve the financial crisis.
Thrissur Pooram, the world-famous temple festival will be celebrated on May 10.
Earlier this month, Petroleum and Explosives Safety Organisation (PESO) has given nod to conduct the fireworks in connection with the Thrissur Pooram.The grand fireworks will be held in the wee hours of May 11. The sample fireworks will be conducted on May 8.
