Thrissur native Jicko V Antony and his wife Aishwarya’s daughter was born on March 21, 2021. They had not decided on a name for their child. Jicko, a diehard fan of the famous web series 'Money Heist' did not have to think twice when the hospital officials asked him for the child’s name to be entered in the birth certificate. Nairobi- he said.
His entire family was shocked beyond belief. They said in unison that he can’t name his kid such a preposterous name and also told him that other kids will make fun of their child for her name. They left the hospital after deciding that they will add their baby’s name on the birth certificate after three months.
Jicko then suggested another name for the baby- Tokyo!
Though his wife Aishwarya did not budge at first but he convinced her later after making her watch 'Money Heist'. She soon turned into a fan herself after watching the first episode of the series. She also had an immediate liking towards the character, Tokyo.
Convincing his family was the next big hurdle. They struck a negotiation with the family after he suggested using his mom’s church name Theresa along with the baby’s name. Tokyo Theresa is now one and a half years old. She is fondly called Thankumol at home.
