Kozhikode: Police arrested a Thrissur man in connection with a sexual assault complaint lodged by a woman doctor. The complainant accused the man of sexually assaulting her multiple times and making her nude visuals public on social media. The person arrested is Nisham Babu (24).
Both the victim and accused are working in a hospital in Mysuru, Karnataka. According to the complaint, the nurse convinced the doctor about a better job offer in Coimbatore and brought her to Kozhikode, where she was sexually assaulted.
The first assault reportedly happened in December 2022. The person later allegedly blackmailed the doctor threatening to make the visuals public and raped her multiple times in January and February in various lodges in Mysuru.
The doctor blocked him and in an act of vengeance, the nurse put out the visuals on social media. The complaint was lodged after that.
