Thrissur cops nab Nigerian youth for smuggling MDMA to Kerala


The accused has been identified as Ken alias Ebuka Victor Anayo (27). He was nabbed from a Nigerian colony in Delhi with the assistance of the Delhi police.

Thrissur: The anti-narcotic squad of the Thrissur police arrested a Delhi-based Nigerian youth for allegedly smuggling MDMA and other synthetic drugs to South Indian states, including Kerala.

The accused has been identified as Ken alias Ebuka Victor Anayo (27). He was nabbed from a Nigerian colony in Delhi with the assistance of the Delhi police.

Reportedly, Ken’s drug network operated among youths in the southern states of Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Kerala.

According to the police, 196 gram of MDMA was seized from Burhanudeen, a native of Chavakkad, on May 13 this year.

During his interrogation, the police sourced information about Sudanese national Muhammad Babiker Ali and Palestinian Hassan, who had supplied drugs to him.

Their interrogation led them to Ken.

The police said that the accused did not possess a passport or visa and only had a refugee certificate.
