Thrissur: The charred remains of a woman and her two children were found on the upper floor of a house in Kunnamangalam on Sunday. The deceased are Shafeena, wife of Pannithadam native Haris, and their children, Ajula (3) and Aman (1.5). The charred remains were found on the balcony of the house.
According to police, Shafana, her children and her mother-in-law returned from a relative's house on Saturday night. Later, Shafana and children went upstairs to sleep. However, the charred remains of their bodies were discovered on the balcony on Sunday morning. Further, police also found a bottle filled with petrol near the body.
The body was found by locals who were out jogging early in the morning. Later, the police and others were informed about the incident.
Shafeena’s husband is working abroad. She was residing in the house along with children and her mother-in-law.
