MP Suresh Gopi meeting Thrissur Mayor M K Varghese
Thrissur: MP Suresh Gopi met Thrissur Mayor M K Varghese to discuss the development of the Sakthan market. The Mayor informed Suresh Gopi that he has in mind a detailed master plan regarding the Sakthan market's development. He also added that he will submit an outline of the proposed plan before November 15.
Suresh Gopi visited the Mayor as a part of fulfilling the promises that he made during the election time. Suresh Gopi had promised Rs 1 crore for Sakthan market's development. He had said that he would provide the amount required for the project from the MP fund or family trust.
Suresh Gopi plans to give Rs 50 lakhs each for the vegetable market and meat market. Mayor revealed that he has in mind an integrated development plan by taking up 36 acres of land in Sakthan.
Suresh Gopi was accompanied by BJP leaders and counsellor. District President K K Aneesh Kumar, Raghunath C Menon, N Prasad, Dr V Athira, K G Niji, M V Radhika, Poornima and Vinshi Arunkumar were also present during the meeting.
