Kochi: KV Thomas said the declaration of Congress candidate for Thrikkara was done without deliberations. Instead of sympathy, political affairs have to play a pivotal role in the election for Thrikkakara constituency. KV Thomas told Mathrubhumi News that he would be in the constituency to discuss about development.

He informed that he had not been invited to the district leadership conference of UDF. It has been a while since he has not been invited for the meeting. However, KV Thomas stated that to the best of his knowledge, the party had not discussed the candidate selection for Thrikkakara constituency with other senior leaders, including Benny Behanan, Dominic Presentation and K Babu also. He added that the party should introspect if this is the way to approach a crucial election like in Thrikkakara.
