Kochi: Thrikkakara is gearing up for the heated contest between major players LDF and UDF as candidates push ahead with their campaign strategies. UDF candidate Uma Thomas and LDF candidate Dr Jo Joseph are visiting voters, including communities which have a strong presence in the Thrikkara constituency.
It is revealed that the BJP is likely to name their candidate on Sunday. BJP state vice president AN Radhakrishnan is the probable candidate. The saffron party aims to pose a serious competition in Thrikkakara despite not having a strong presence in the constituency. BJP also faced serious setbacks in 2016 and 2021 assembly elections here.
Meanwhile, the association of Twenty20 with the Aam Aadmi Party will also pose a major threat to BJP in Thrikkakara.
