Kochi: Personal relationship with PT Thomas and his wife Uma Thomas is a different matter and I focus on the development agenda of Kerala, said KV Thomas, veteran Congress leader. Thomas had earlier said that the Thrikkakara byelection must be fought politically and not based on sympathy [over the death of PT Thomas].

KV Thomas was reacting to the ‘Super Prime Time’ of Mathrubhumi News on Wednesday evening.

Despite asking repeatedly, Thomas did not extend support for his party's candidate, Uma. I will pray for every candidate in the fray, Thomas said.

He expressed his dissatisfaction with the 'autocratic' leadership of Congress in Kerala. The party did not consult with him over the past few elections, he said.

The former minister also said that no constituency in Kerala is the forte of any front.
