Three police officers face probe over alleged connections with illegal miners

Thiruvananthapuram: The law and order ADGP of Kerala Police has ordered detailed probe against three officers for alleged connection with goodas and illegal miners.

Thiruvallam SI KR Satheesh, Mangalapuram SHO HL Sajeesh, CPO Jayakumar of Nemom police station are facing action. They were recently suspended. Grave charges were levelled against these officers.

Satheesh allegedly aided illegal soil miners. He also leaked details of cheating cases to a person who used the information to blackmail the accused.

Sajeesh has been accused of intentionally delaying registering a kidnapping case and arresting the accused in the case. He also has connections with illegal miners in the locality, the report said.

Jayakumar is facing action for allowing an accused arrested from Delhi to escape. Satheesh is also facing action in this case.

Probe is underway against all three officers.
