Three Kerala policemen dismissed from service; two face rape charges

Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala Police dismissed three officers from service due to their involvement in “criminal activities.”

Inspector Abhilash, driver Sheri S Raj and traffic police officer Reji Davis are the officers who were terminated. Of the three, two were accused of sexual assault and one defaulted on a rape investigation.

Sheri of Nandavanam AR Camp faces rape charges. He also allegedly assaulted an elderly woman. Reji Davis is also accused in a rape case registered at medical college police station.

Abhilash allegedly failed to conduct a thorough probe into a sexual assault case while he was the Sreekaryam SHO. He was already in suspension for alleged connections with goonda leaders.
