Angamaly: Thousands paid the last respect to CPM leader MC Josephine at her house in Angamaly on Monday. The mortal remains were draped in the red flag by the party leaders.

Political leaders, natives and thousands of party workers flocked to her residence in Kallupalam, party office, and CSI auditorium, where the body was bought for public homage.

Minister P Rajeeve, K Rajan, K Radhakrishnan, R Bindu, Opposition leader VD Satheesan, Benny Behanan MP and MLAs Roji M John, Anwar Sadath, KJ Maxi, Shafi Parambil, and K Babu, CPM Politburo member A Vijayaraghavan, and several others offered last respects. As per her wishes, the body was later handed over to the Medical College.
