Kollam: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said that a huge conspiracy took place in connection with the deep sea trawling controversy. The conspiracy took place with the intervention of an intermediary and those who are with opposition leader Ramesh Chennithala now and before are involved in this. They cannot tarnish the image of the CM’s office, Pinarayi Vijayan added.
The chief minister was reacting to the allegations that the deep sea trawling contract was signed with his knowledge. He was addressing the media during the election campaign at Kollam.
The CM’s office is targeted in all issues. The fisherfolk are supporting the government. So, some people are afraid that they would lose a huge share of votes. So, they conspired to influence the fisherfolk community through the controversy. It is learnt that a person known as an intermediary is involved in this, the CM said.
Those who are with the opposition leader at present and those who were with him earlier have involvement in the conspiracy. ‘A great person’ compelled to publicize a PRD advertisement. The person contacted the CM’s office with negative intentions, the chief minister pointed out.
The CM mentioned Kerala Shipping and Inland Navigation Corporation (KSINC) MD N Prasanth as ‘the great person’ in a ridiculing manner. He raised serious allegations against Prasanth and added that more evidence of conspiracy will come to light.
