Those who enjoy benefits make nonsensical statement; CM lashes out at teachers association
Thiruvananthapuram: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has criticized the left wing organisation All Kerala Private College Teachers Association (AKPCTA). The chief minister said that the statement made by AKPCTA that the government is destroying the higher education sector in the state, is utter nonsense.
"I wonder how a teachers association could make such a nonsensical statement. Too much reaction is made on some light issues. If there are any problems, it can be discussed with the concerned minister. But instead of taking such moves, they merely attack the government," the chief minister said.
When there is generally positive opinion regarding the higher education sector in Kerala, a responsible organisation which enjoys the benefits of the same makes these statements. They should reconsider their stand in this matter, the chief minister made it clear. He said this during the weekly programme 'Nam Munnott'.
