The bride and the groom with the patients
Kozhikode: “It was my daughter Soorya’s decision for a registered marriage and that the wedding party should be attended by palliative patients” said Dr Sudha.
Surya, who is about to start her PhD in Social Science and Dr. Vineesh registered their marriage the other day at Ernakulam. The wedding party was held on Sunday evening at Medical College Institute of Palliative Medicine auditorium in Kozhikode.
The party was attended by 75 people, including paraplegic patients and members of oral cancer survival group members. Most of the patients who came there with the help of others, expressed their pleasure in a wedding party being hosted at the palliative auditorium for the first time.
Dr. Sudha has been the chairperson of Kozhikode Palliative medicine for six years. Dr SN Ravikumar is the father of Surya. Dr Vineesh is the son of KP Vijayan and Geetha from Ernakulam.
