Thiruvonam Bumper lottery results announced; Rs 12 cr for first prize winner
Thiruvananthapuram: The results of Thiruvonam Bumper Lottery has been announced. Ticket number TE 645465 won the first prize worth Rs 12 crore. Finance minister K N Balagopal inaugurated the lucky draw.
As per reports, the prize winning ticket that belonged to Karunagappalli sub office in Kollam district was sold at Thrippunithura. It was sold by lottery agent Murukesh Thevar. However, the winner has not been identified yet.
The first prize winner will get Rs 7.39 crore after deducting agent prize, commission and income tax. Second prize has been won by tickets with the numbers TE 177852, TA-945778, TC- 537460, TD- 642007, TB- 265947.
Onam Bumper ticket costs Rs 300. This is highest prize money in the history of Kerala Lotteries Department. The bumper prize was increased to Rs 12 crore from 2019 onwards.
Rs 12 crore is the first prize. Six winners will get Rs 1 crore each as second prize of Thiruvonam Bumper and 12 people will get Rs 10 lakh each as third prize. As fourth prize, 12 winners will get Rs 5 lakh each and as fifth prize 108 people will get Rs 1 lakh each.
