Thiruvananthapuram court stays defamation case verdict against VS Achuthanandan

Thiruvananthapuram: The district court here on Monday stayed the verdict of the trial court that ordered former chief minister VS Achuthanandan to pay Congress veteran Oommen Chandy Rs 10 lakh in a defamation case. The arguments of the both parties will be heard on February 22.

The Thiruvananthapuram sub court had ordered VS to pay Rs 10,10000 to Chandy. The district court stayed this conditionally.
