Thiruvananthapuram: Liquor can now be bought from liquor outlets by paying money online. The Beverages Corporation officials informed that the new arrangement will be tested in outlets of Thiruvananthapuram and in Kozhikode Pavamani road outlet starting Tuesday.
Liquor can be bought by showing the receipt received after paying money online. The liquor shops across the state will soon be equipped to function this way.
Booking process
Booking is done through https:booking.ksbc.co.in. The user’s mobile phone number must be registered on the website and the registration process must be completed using the OTP sent to the registered mobile number. The profile must be completed by filling in the details including name, date of birth, email address etc.
The page showing shops, their details and details of liquor collection can be accessed by logging into the user's profile. The district and the liquor shops in the district can be selected. The liquor chosen can be moved to the cart and the order may be placed. Money can be paid online. An SMS including the reference number, details of the liquor shop and the allotted time for buying liquor will be sent to the registered mobile number. Customers can buy liquor by giving the reference number received via SMS.
If the ones who have finished registration want to purchase liquor again, then they have to visit the online booking link on the beverages website. The phone number must be given first and the security code must be filled in the next column. The password is typed in and users can enter into their profiles.
