Thiruvananthapuram: In a tragic incident, a 10-year-old boy who followed his father who went out for buying milk slipped into a ditch and drowned. The incident happened at Thiruvananthapuram’s Kudappanakunnu around 04:45 PM on Sunday. The deceased is identified as Dev.
The tragic incident happened when Dev's father went outside for buying milk. The boy followed him. It is learnt that boy slipped to the ditch near the house. Due to the rains, there was a strong water current. Natives and the fire and rescue personnel were involved in the search for the boy.
Finally, they found the boy near a pond and he was rushed to the hospital. However, the boy succumbed before reaching there.
