Containing Zika virus in Kerala will take two more months: officials

Thiruvananthapuram: It may take up to two months to control the spread of the Zika virus, says officials. Fogging and other activities to destroy the source of mosquitoes are underway in Thiruvananthapuram district.

The central team is also helping to implement the containment measures. They are satisfied with the actions taken, said district collector Navot Khosa.

As many as 28 people tested positive so far. Only eight of them, including three pregnant women, remain positive. They are closely observed.
