Thenhipalam: It was a dream-come-true moment for third semester BCom students as the exam paper for Corporate Accounting carried answer for a six-mark question!
The 23rd question in the exam paper: What is valuation balance sheet? Draw a format of valuation balance sheet, also carried answer which extended for one and half line.
Though it was an ‘unexpected feast’ for the students, the exam controller informed that the lapse in the question paper preparation will be probed. The academic board chairman will review and furnish an explanation
Apart from the answer, the question paper also carried a same question from previous year’s exam.
Meanwhile, Calicut University too is facing flak over repeated lapses in question paper preparation. Recently, the university had cancelled an exam for the B.Voc Logistics Management course after students complained that many questions were out of syllabus. Because even academic board’s review found that around 60 per cent of questions were not selected from the course syllabus. The lapse forced over 100 students to write the exam again. In another case of lapse, the university had cancelled English exam of the second semester UG course over repetition of questions.
The new issue comes amid this.
