Nemam: A thief entered a house with the key kept inside the metre box and stole four sovereigns of gold. The incident occurred between 10:30 am and 4 pm at Pallichal when the family members had gone to a temple. The thief entered the house opening the front door.
Things in the house were scattered around when the family returned. The thief had kept the key in its place before returning.
This is the second theft in recent days under the Neman police station limit. The previous day, five sovereign gold was stolen from a house in Kalliyoor when the family went to the temple.
