Kochi: When Mainul Sarkar opened the door, there was a group of people with Iyakub. They were followed by some other men holding different types of gun.
"As soon as they entered the room, they stripped me and tied my hands with my dhoti. They checked my mobile phone and later released me," said Mainul Sarkar who was staying with Iyakub.
Before Mainul could figure out what was happening, all belongings of Iyakub was taken away by the NIA and police team.
As he has not recovered from the shock of the incident, Mainul did not go for work on Saturday and sat idle in front of the shop on the premises.
"We never felt he was a troublemaker. But he was rather shy and does not talk much," said Karimbanakkal Moideen Iyakub, a neighbour.
