Thiruvananthapuram: More than 20 cars parked in the Thiruvananthapuram Central railway station were vandalised, in a suspected robbery attempt.

The owners noticed the damaged cars this morning and informed the security staff and police. Window glasses and windshields of the vehicles were broken.

The parking area is normally guarded. However, due to heavy rain, the security staff could not surveil the area as usual.

It seemed that the thieves tried to steal music systems of some cars. Police officers are checking the CCTV visuals hoping to get solid leads in the matter.
