Kochi: Theatres reopened on Wednesday after remaining shut for more than 10 months amid the pandemic outbreak and lockdown. Vijay starrer ‘Master’ was released in Kerala theatres with the first show at 9 am.
Vijay fans flocked the theatres for watching their favourite star’s most anticipated movie. Long queues of fans were found in most of the theatres in the state.

Surprising the theatre owners who were worried about the number of audience, a huge number of fans were seen rushing to the theatres to watch the movie amid the pandemic.
Out of 650 theatres in Kerala, 500 theatres screened ‘Master’ on the releasing day.
Jayasurya starrer ‘Vellam’ will be released on January 22. This movie will be the first Malayalam movie to get a theatrical release after the reopening of theatres.
More Malayalam movies are expected to hit theatres soon.
Only 50 percent seats will be allowed to be occupied as per government order. Seating arrangements are done in alternate seats. The theatre owners reported that gloves and sanitizer will be distributed to staff and audience.
