Thiruvananthapuram: Chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan stated that the trailer of the controversial film 'The Kerala Story' reinforces Sangh Parivar's propaganda depicting Kerala as the epicentre of religious extremism.
In a post shared on Facebook, Pinarayi alleged that it is a planned move behind Sudipto Sen's upcoming movie on the bogie of ‘love jihad', a subject dismissed by the investigating agencies, the court and even the union home ministry. He pointed out that union minister G Kishan Reddy clarified in Parliament that there is no such thing as ‘love jihad’.

The movie follows the fictitious story of four women from Kerala who were converted to Islam for recruitment to the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS). The film, which is yet to hit theatres, claims that 32,000 women went missing from the state. The movie teaser met with strong criticism from all walks of life.
