Thaha, Alan, P Mohanan
Kozhikode: Reiterating the stance of CPM over the Pantheerankavu UAPA case, Kozhikode district secretary P Mohanan told the media that the party has evidence that Thaha Fasal and Alan Shuhaib were influenced by 'Maoist' thoughts.
Alan and Thaha were charged with UAPA by Kerala police. The NIA took over the case later.
Notably, during the discussion at the party district conference, a section of delegates shed criticism against the police force and their conduct. They specifically raised concerns about the double standards of the party in opposing UAPA nationally and slapping that charge on two party cadres during its rule in Kerala. The comments were made in the presence of chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan.
Mohanan’s remarks to the media preceded his rejoinder speech in the conference where he was supposed to reply to the criticism raised by the delegates.
