Temperature to shoot up in 6 districts on Tuesday
Thiruvananthapuram: The meteorological department has alerted that temperature will go up by 2 to 3 degree Celsius in 6 districts on Tuesday. The warning was issued for Thiruvananthapuram, Alappuzha, Kottayam, Thrissur, Kozhikode and Kannur districts.
On Monday also, high temperature was reported in most of the districts across the state.
A high temperature of over 36 degrees Celsius was recorded at Kannur, Punalur, Kozhikode and Vellanikkara on Monday. According to reports, maximum temperature rose by 2.6 degree Celsius in Kannur and 3.4 degree Celsius in Kozhikode.
In view of the highest temperature, the State Disaster Management Authority has issued directions asking the public to exercise caution. A special audio message of the directions was prepared for visually challenged people.

The directions issued by SDMA are as follows:
- Drink plenty of water to avoid dehydration
- Aged, pregnant woman, children and people suffering from other ailments must avoid direct exposure to the sun from 11 am to 3 pm. These group of people were warned to avoid sun exposure as there are chances for sunstroke.
- First aid and medical care should be administered if anyone feels health problems due to the hot climate.
