Kozhikode: A daring rescue operation took place to save a young man trapped in a flash flood in Iruvanjippuzha. The incident occurred when a group of youths was bathing at Pathangayam in Narangathode. They were suddenly caught off guard by a surge of water from the mountains. Thanks to the swift action of the home guard, employees of Minar Power House, and local residents who were present nearby, the trapped individuals were successfully brought to safety on the shore.

Among those caught in the mountain flood were two individuals from Tanur in Malappuram. They managed to find refuge by climbing onto a rock until help arrived. Following heavy rainfall, the water inundated the surrounding forest, exacerbating the danger.
