Tantri seeks Govt initiative to allow non-Hindus into temple
Guruvayur: Guruvayur Sree Krishna Temple tantri Chennas Dinesan Namboodiripad wanted the state government to take initiative to allow entry of non-Hindus into the Guruvayur temple.
He also said that a detailed manual regarding the entry should be prepared after consulting the tantri and pandit communities.
“The State government is the supreme authority to take a decision on temples after the replacement of kingdoms with democracy. All customs will be changed according to times. The government should take action considering these changes,” said the tantri.
He added that he is ready to cooperate if the authority takes the initiative to allow non-Hindus to enter Guruvayur temple.
