Kannur: Police have registered a case against Kerala Gold Smuggling Case accused Swapna Suresh and Kannur native Vijesh Pillai.
Taliparamba police registered a case based on a complaint filed by CPM area secretary K Santhosh. The police booked them under charges for conspiracy, incitement of violence, and furnishing fake documents.
In his complaint, Santhosh alleged that accused is conspiring against CPM leaders while the opposition parties are trying to incite violence in the state.
Meanwhile, Crime Branch has taken the statement of Vijesh Pillai in connection with a case filed against Swapna.
