Taking Sudhakaran's remark as an honour, not insult: Pinarayi Vijayan
Thiruvananthapuram: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said that he takes the 'toddy tapper's son' remark by K Sudhakaran not as an insult, but as an honour.
"I have known Sudhakaran ever since he joined Brennen College. I don't consider his remark as an insult. My father and elder brother were toddy tappers. We can understand why Congress leaders are criticizing each other over this matter," the Chief Minister told the media.
Those who resort to crowdfunding should maintain transparency. Some people act contrary to this and it is already controversial. The government would have to examine the issue if any complaints are filed, the Chief Minister said in reaction to the questions of Muslim Youth League fund misappropriations.
