Thiruvananthapuram: The swearing-in ceremony of the newly elected members of local self-governments will be held on Monday. New administrative committees will come into power in each panchayat, district panchayat, block panchayat, municipality and corporation.
Selection of president and vice president will be carried out on December 28 and 30.
The first meeting of the members will be held soon after the swearing-in ceremony.
Meanwhile, there are 8 local body institutions where the governing period of the incumbent administrative committee have not expired as on December 20. Hence, swearing-in-ceremony of these 8 local bodies will be held on December 22 and 23, January 16 and February 1.
