Thiruvananthapuram: Gold smuggling case accused Swapna Suresh released an audio clip to the media claiming that she had no connection with the smuggling case.
She said that her only involvement with the case was that she contacted the AC in the diplomatic cargo and asked him to clear it and that she was not aware of anything that happened afterwards.
“The public should know this. I was framed with the Chief Minister, the Speaker and other politicians. They have taken me and my family to the verge of committing suicide”, Swapna said.
She also said that the media, along with others, are trying to influence the upcoming election and the only harm coming out of this is only to her and her family.
“This is not going to affect the Chief Minister or any other ministers in the government. It is only going to harm me and the three members in my family including my husband and two children. All of you will be responsible for the death of me and my family members. I am only staying away due to the threats raised against me and not because I am involved in the gold smuggling case," she said.
Swapna also said that she has contacted many ministers in order to invite them to functions only. Defaming them in view of election would not harm them at all. She also challenged to prove if she had visited any night club with anyone.
