Kottayam: PC George has come out with new statements over the controversies concerning the gold smuggling case. PC George said that he has been named the second accused in the case filed by K T Jaleel MLA against Swapna Suresh and that he doesn’t understand the logic behind it. “The only thing I have done is reveal what Swapna Suresh told the media. Now, I’m being picket at by the comrades saying that I talked to Saritha on phone,” he said.

“I’m facing charges for creating conflicts. If I’m booked over these charges, the CM will have to be booked for over 1000 cases. A woman gave me note with an account of how she was tortured inside jail for 16 months and I passed on this matter to the media. That is all I have done,” PC George remarked.

“Many politicians who have served as Kerala’s CM have faced serious allegations on several occasions, including Oommen Chandy. But there have not been allegations against Oommen Chandy's wife or children. The second accused in the gold smuggling case has said that Pinarayi Vijayan, his wife and daughter are involved in gold smuggling,” he added.

PC George also said that Swapna’s allegations scare the CM because it has put his family under the scanner and that it cannot be denied.
