Kochi: Swapna Suresh, prime accused in the gold smuggling case, revealed that she received death threats for naming Chief Minister and his family in the gold smuggling case. She lodged a complaint before Kerala DGP over these threats.
"Earlier, I used to receive phone calls through the internet. Now, I receive threats from callers who even reveal their names and addresses. They threatened to end my life and my family if I didn't stop mentioning Chief Minister, his wife and daughter in the case," she said.
She claimed that callers intended to stop her from revealing key aspects of the case before ED. Meanwhile, ED continued questioning her regarding the recent revelations in the gold smuggling case.
"The Crime Branch is also trying to obstruct ED's questioning in the gold smuggling case. However, I will cooperate with ED in unravelling the truth," she said.
