Suresh Gopi to build house for Assam native Munmi who is contesting on NDA ticket in Iritty

Kannur: Munmi Shaji, a native of Assam and NDA candidate at ward no. 11 Vikas Nagar of Iritty Municipality, will soon have a house of her own. Actor-turned-politician Suresh Gopi offered to build a house for Munmi and family, who now resides in a one-room rented house here. Suresh had called up Munmi and promised a house.

Munmi speaks fluent Malayalam which surprised the actor when she thanked him in the language.

“I am thankful to Suresh Gopi sir. I am very happy and I have nothing more to say,” she said.

Munmi’s candidature attracted much attention as an Assam native was contesting to Iritty municipality. Munmi, won the hearts of people with her natural charm and expertise in Malayalam.

Munmi got married to Iritty native Shaji and moved here 8 years back. The couple have two daughters.

Suresh Gopi noticed the article on Munmi that was published in Mathrubhumi daily the other day and offered to build the house.
