New Delhi: In a recent development, the Supreme Court has dismissed the bail plea filed by the main accused ‘Pulsar’ Suni in the high-profile 2017 actress assault case. The plea was heard by a bench composed of Justices Ajay Rastogi and Bela M Trivedi. Notably, renowned Mumbai lawyer Sana Raees Khan appeared in the Supreme Court on behalf of Pulsar Suni.

Pulsar Suni had sought bail on the grounds that the trial of the case was unlikely to be concluded soon. However, the bench held that ‘Pulsar’ Suni was not eligible for bail. This decision aligns with the stance taken by Justice Ajay Rastogi-headed bench during the previous hearing of his bail plea.

The arguments put forth by Sana Raees Khan, Sriram Palgad, and MS Vishnu Shankar, who appeared for Suni, were centred around the prolonged trial in the case. It's worth mentioning that Sana Raees Khan had previously secured bail for Indrani Mukerjea in the Sheena Bora case. Known for handling high-profile criminal cases, Sana Raees Khan's appearance in the Supreme Court added to the legal dynamics of the proceedings.
