Kochi: Measures to digitalise Kerala State Civil Supplies Corporation (Supplyco) have gained momentum.
Presently, stock checks and sales details are analyzed daily via mobile phones. Previously, this process took at least a month. Supplyco chairman and managing director Dr Sanjeeb Patjoshi said that QR codes and POS machines are already set up in the Supplyco outlets.
New outlets
As many as 50 new outlets will be established this financial year. The corporation is planning to launch Supplyco outlets outside Kerala as well. The total revenue earned by Supplyco last year was Rs 6,315 crore. The corporation targets to earn Rs 8,000 crore this year.
To foreign market
Supplyco has decided to launch more products on foreign markets. The corporation obtained revenue of Rs 36 crore through the export of Sabari tea powder to date.
