Students, faculties shocked at suicide of Law Academy teacher Sunil


Sunil took his life in a deserted corner of the campus ground on Wednesday noon. The reason for this extreme decision is unknown.

Thiruvananthapuram: Suni Kumar was active in the Onam celebrations of the campus on Tuesday. On Wednesday, he gave Rs1,000 for lunch to a group of students who organised it. He then left in his car and no one saw him again.

Students and faculty of the Law Academy of Thiruvananthapuram are still struggling to come in terms on the death of their favourite teacher.

Sunil took his life in a deserted corner of the campus ground on Wednesday noon. The reason for this extreme decision is unknown.

He is a popular teacher who organises events and participates along with students. Students recall that he comes to programmes with music instruments.

According to Harisankar, a student of the academy, Sunil was active on the campus on Wednesday and engaged with students too.

A group of workers first noticed a burning body on the ground. They couldn’t approach it. Students arrived there hearing screams. However, initially they did not figure out that it was Sunil till they discovered the car and his bag.
