Sundays' total lockdown eased in state; relaxations for places of worship, exams


Relaxations will be applicable for places of worship and for students who need to appear for examinations.

Thiruvananthapuram: Government has announced easing of the total lockdown status on Sunday. Relaxations will be applicable for places of worship and for students who need to appear for examinations. The order regarding this was issued by Public Administration Department.

All places of worship in the state were permitted to be opened from June 8. Usually special prayer ceremonies take place in Churches on Sundays. Also certain examinations are also scheduled to take place on Sunday. There were confusions regarding how the examination would be conducted during the total lockdown.

However, there will not be any relaxation for opening shops or any other services on Sunday.
