Suja Susan George makes her stand clear on Malayala Mission controversy

Kozhikode: Malayala Mission director Suja Susan George has penned a detailed note on the controversial inaugural ceremony of ‘Malayalanma 2020’. The Chief Minister stood up from his seat and proceeded to deliver his inaugural address while Suja Susan was giving her welcome speech. He left as soon as completing his speech saying he was running late for other commitments.

The incident became a huge a controversy later. It is in this context that Suja provided her perspective on the whole issue.

In her Facebook page, she wrote that Pinarayi Vijayan decided to take part in the event only because it was valued by all those who came from outside Kerala and India. She had asked the CM if he wanted her to reduce the length of her speech. However, he asked Suja to continue with her speech as it would naturally have a lot of information on Malayala Mission. But later he had asked to deliver the welcome address after his inaugural speech as he was running late for another event, Suja Susan George wrote.
