Suicide note of POCSO case victim reveals serious allegations against CI

Kozhikode: The suicide note of a victim of POCSO case who committed suicide at Thenhipalam here on Saturday has been released. The suicide note left by the victim levelled serious allegations against the Circle Inspector of the Feroke Police Station who investigated the case.

The girl has stated in the note that the police officer abused her and even disclosed details of sexual assault to outsiders. She also mentioned that he threatened her fiance in relation to the case. She also accused the police officer of abetment to suicide.

The girl had told her fiance that she is a victim of sexual assault from her relatives too. On a complaint filed by the fiance to the police, a POCSO case was registered against six persons, including relatives. According to the suicide note, the fiance was called to the police station and threatened by CI.

Meanwhile, the victim's mother alleged that the police were not ready to give counselling to the girl despite repeated requests. She claimed that the reason for the suicide has something to do with her fiance. They had quarrels over the telephone recently, the mother added.
