Aluva: In a shocking incident, a textile shop owner committed suicide here due to financial difficulties. The deceased has been identified as Kodikuthimala native Sajid (49), owner of Hasnas Textiles in Aluva Rail road.
Sajid was found hanging on the third floor of the shop on Tuesday afternoon when one of the employees went looking for him after not seeing him for a long time.
On seeing this, the staff informed the matter to others. It is learned that Sajid was facing extreme financial constraints due to the restriction imposed during the Covid lockdown.
