Suicide attempt in University College: Girl firm on statement, leaves college
Thiruvananthapuram: The girl student who made an attempt to commit suicide in University college here has repeated her statements alleging that whatever was written in the suicide note were true. It is reported that she has decided to leave the college and has taken her transfer certificate.
“I think it is better to leave the college as the campus is not suitable for studious people,” she said.
At the same time, she noted that she is no more interested to move forward with the case against SFI.
“Some union leaders are troublesome. They used to force students to skip class and attend programmes,” she added.
On May 3, the girl tried to end her life by slitting her wrist. She was found injured in the girls’ rest room inside the campus. She had prepared a suicide note stating that she had come to the college with high hopes for the future but was denied a favourable learning environment.
