Kottayam: Students staged a protest against the director of KR Narayanan National Institute of Visual Science and Art College here for alleged caste discrimination.

The students staged a sit-in protest in front of the campus entrance on Monday. The students said protests would continue until the director is removed from his office.

Earlier this week, the cleaning staff of the institute alleged that the director had made them do his house chores.

Earlier, the state government had set up a commission to probe the incident.
