Student caught cheating at Calicut Uty exams after adding answer sheet from outside to main sheet

The principal also said that he has informed the university registrar about the incident.

Koyilandy: College authorities caught a student of BA Sociology for malpractice during the first year exam of Calicut University. The student had inserted a written sheet that he had brought from outside into the exam answer sheets.

The incident happened on Thursday morning at Koyilandy Gurudeva College of Advanced Studies. The answer sheet was brought to the exam centre by another student who also gave his exam at Gurudeva institute. The answers were written on additional sheets that were given to the students on previous exams. This sheet was inserted after tearing off a page from the mainsheet.

However, the malpractice was caught after noticing a discrepancy in the serial numbers of the answer sheet. Principal Sunil Bhaskar said that the student admitted to the use of answer sheets brought from outside and that the answers were written earlier itself.

The principal also said that he has informed the university registrar about the incident. The special branch has also begun investigation in the case. 30 students had appeared for the exam at Gurudeva centre.
