Kozhikode: The Vijaya Yatra led by BJP state president K Surendran will start from Kasaragod on Sunday. Surendran talked about the rally to Mathrubhumi correspondent P P Saseendran.
Message of the rally
BJP is putting forward the slogan ‘A New Kerala’ and the matters related to it through Vijya Yatra. Both political fronts that ruled the state did not give importance to development and happiness of the people. The central government is providing assistance to Kerala through several development projects. The state does not try to make it available for the public. Corruption can be seen everywhere no matter whether Oommen Chandy or Pinarayi Vijayan rules. The rally is also against the appeasing of minority communities. This trend is in its peak at present.
Concept of New Kerala
We are planning to bring here corruption-free administration conceptualised by Narendra Modi.
BJP’s major enemy in this poll
We oppose both political fronts alike. We don’t have any major enemy but both are equal opponents. There isn’t any political strategy of supporting one front to defeat another. We are planning to engage in a triangular fight.
Aim to form government in Kerala
BJP is trying hard to form a government in Kerala. We will be an important factor in deciding which party will rule the state in the next term.
Amount of hope
According to the new vote share, strong triangular fight will take place in 42 constituencies this time.
Fear of plots to defeat BJP
Earlier, other parties had plotted to defeat BJP. The incident in Manjeshwaram was an example. But if we also resorted to similar strategy, many will not see the assembly. But it would an undemocratic way.
Vijaya Yatra held by BJP
Vijaya Yatra is organised by BJP, but all allies of NDA will take part in it.
Arrival of E Sreedharan
E Sreedharan joining BJP is a great message. Arrival of such people is a recognition for the concepts put forward by BJP and the party’s contribution in the administration of the country.
