Thiruvananthapuram: A group of around 50 strike supporters attacked KSRTC driver and conductor at Pappanamcode here on Tuesday. The employees were beaten up brutally and the protestors spit over the conductor’s head.

Driver Saji and conductor Sharavanan were admitted to General Hospital in Thiruvananthapuram. The bus was travelling from Thiruvananthapuram to Kaliyakkavilai. A police jeep ealso escorted the bus.

When the bus arrived at Pappanamcode, the protestors who ran from the protest venue stopped the bus and started beating up the KSRTC employees. They barged into the bus and unleashed an assault on the driver and the conductor. As only a few policemen were present there at the time, they failed to control the strike supporters.
