Stray dog attacks 8 people in TVM

Thiruvananthapuram: Amid the growing concerns of rabies infection in the state, a stray dog attacked 8 people at Attingal here. According to reports, a stray dog chased and bit the people at Chittattinkara and Palamoodu on Sunday and Monday.

Chittattinkara natives Prabhavathi (70), Gokul Raj (18), Podiyan (58) and Linu (26) are among the 8 people who were mauled by the stray dog. Prabhavathi suffered severe injuries to her ear and leg. She is undergoing treatment at a hospital.

Among the four Palamoodu natives, one is a mother of a 60-days-old child.A youth suffered injuries to the nose and lips.

According to the locals, all these people were attacked by same dog.
